Heathbend Credit's heavy equipment payment calculator lets Minot, ND contractors and oilfield service crews estimate a monthly payment from an equipment price, a down payment, a term and a rate they enter. It shows total interest and total cost; it is an estimate, not an offer or a rate quote.
What the Calculator Computes
It treats the financing as a standard amortizing equipment loan: the price minus the down payment is the amount financed, repaid in equal monthly payments over the term at the rate you enter. Total interest is the sum of payments minus the amount financed; total cost adds the down payment back.
The rate is yours to choose. We do not suggest or publish rates, because a funding partner sets them. Try a few to see how sensitive the payment is.
A Worked Example (Illustrative)
Illustrative only, not an offer. A contractor looks at a used track loader priced at $120,000 and puts $20,000 down. With $100,000 financed over 60 months at a rate of 9 percent entered for testing, the payment works out to roughly $2,076 a month and total interest to about $24,550. Raising the term to 72 months lowers the payment to about $1,803 but adds roughly $5,200 more interest.
The test that matters is whether the work the machine does covers that payment with room to spare, through the months it is busy and the months it is not.
Heavy Equipment Financing Calculator Inputs Explained
- Equipment price: from the dealer quote or bill of sale, including attachments if they are financed together
- Down payment: cash or trade-in value you put in; optional
- Term: months; often matched to how long you expect to run the machine
- Rate: an annual rate you enter to test; the real one comes from a partner
Construction Equipment EMI Calculator: Same Arithmetic
EMI, equated monthly installment, is the same thing as the monthly payment here. Whether you call it EMI or a payment, the formula for a standard amortizing loan is the same; leases are structured differently and may include a residual or buyout.
What Partners Review Beyond the Payment
- The quote or bill of sale, with serial number, year and hours
- Business bank statements
- Existing equipment loans
- The work the machine will do
